Flash-illuminated videoclip freeze strobes
Hi,
I am trying to freeze a photo flash illuminated video clip. I all looks fine until it is shown on my dvd player. Then the clip strobes. I had problems freezing the clip without strobing in the timeline (flash too short exposure time). Only the BMP format seemed to make it right (the other ones were dark, because they didn't grab the field with the flash). I used de-interlace at still export from/to timeline and "Optimize stills" at timeline export, but no deinterlace at timeline export since it is supposed to be shown on an interlace tv. How can a still bmp image strobe? Doesn't it only have one field which is converted to two when exported from timeline? (using Premiere) Last edited by Urban Skargren; September 27th, 2007 at 12:14 PM. |

I suspect it is not your video that is strobing but your TV can't handle the extremely bright picture (power supply choking). Try viewing your DVD on a computer instead.

Thanks, but I just found out how to solve it. I deinterlaced and turned the field order just for that clip. Deinterlacing makes one whole frame out of the two fields and I had to change the field order to have the right field produce the frame.
