Compression question
Hey everyone,
I'm still pretty new to HDV, so forgive me if this is too novice. I need to downconvert an HDV movie to SD so that I can burn onto a DVD in Studio Pro. What are the best settings in Compressor to do this? I've tried a few, but I loss a good amount of quality. I would like to keep it in a single file... e.g.- mpeg4, mov, etc. Thanks! |

You want to use the DVD presets. If you're using a HDV file, it's 16:9, so you want to use the DVD: Best quality 16:9 presets. Also, why would you want to keep it in a single file? When you give DVD Studio Pro a file like MPEG 4 or Quicktime, it would have to re-encode it and you'd lose quality.

DVD studio pro will only let me import the video as a PAL asset. I am doing something wrong in Compressor? Or do I have to set the format for DVD studio on PAL?
Thanks |
