Question about going from FCP to the new Soundtrack Pro 2
I'm getting ready to do my final mixdown of a project in Final Cut Pro and I have a question about going to the new SoundtrackPro 2.
One of my issues with using the older version of Soundtrack Pro is that when you send an entire sequence to it, it screws up the volume work that is done in FCP. Because Soundtrack links the volume keyframes to the TRACK and not to the CLIP like FCP does, it can create all kinds of havoc. If you've done a lot of volume work, it can be very frustrating to have to fix it all over again and this is in addition to the other aspects that aren't transferred from FCP to Soundtrack like clip-based effects and filters. Does the new SoundtrackPro deal with any of these things any differently? |

Yes, there's a selectable mode for moving envelope points with clips in Soundtrack Pro 2.
Apple produced a PDF document that highlights the new features. If you use Soundtrack at all, it's worth a read: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/Sou...w_Features.pdf The information you're asking about is on page 2. |
