Fantom drives - anyone got experience with 'em?

I see Fantom 250gb drives for $80.

Does anyone have experience with them? I usually buy Lacie, so am not sure about the reliability of these.

best.

I've used Lacie and Fantom drives before. Not a big fan of the Lacies, but staying on topic: Fantom drives rock. They're built solid, run cool and have never given me any issues that I can think of. Only drawback I can come up with is they're generally a little bigger and bulkier than other offerings. Not sure what kind of hardware they use inside, but transfer rates for Fantom drives always seem to be top-notch as well.

I like the Fantoms; we bought 5 of the 250 gb to swap back and forth between editors 3 or 4 months ago and I'm about to buy a 500 gb for my home studio.

I may be completely wrong on this, but I think I heard that they have Western Digital drives inside....
