Date/time stamp in FCP 5???
Hi--
I know I read somewhere that FCP can use the timecode on a clip to output a date/time stamp right on the footage. Now I can't find out how to do it anywhere. I've tried the Timecode reader and the Timecode Generator, but all they produce is raw timecode numbers. I'm looking for the actual date and time of recording, like on surveillance videos. Can anyone help??? Please??? TIA, Tim |

there's no built-in filter that reads the date/time stamp info from the clip nor one that displays user defined date/time stamp info ... you're going to have to build it using what is available
you could use the timecode generator filter to create a date and time stamp look: use the Label field to add the "date", and crop off the frames (and seconds) info so it looks less like running timecode |
