Best plugin to increase exposure/gain level in Final Cut?
What is the best way to push the exposure elevel for a clip that's under exposed, using final cut? For example, in photoshop you can manipulate an image to increase the effective exposure (not gamma control). I've tried the built in image filters in Final Cut, but the results have been disapointing. I guess that I could convert the clip to JPEGs and run through photoshop, but I'm sure that a good plugin already exists to manipulate in FC.
Thanks Greg |

There are supposedly some new tools in FCP6 that address this issue. I haven't seen them yet and I imagine that you don't necessarily want to upgrade just for this.
Here's a link to a rather nice plug-in that provides functionality similar to the Highlight/Shadow function in Photoshop CS2 http://www.lyric.com/fcp-plugins/#shadow |

Presumably, you've tried the 3-way CC? That's the easiest way.

Thanks Chuck for the link to the plugin, and thanks Liam for the 3-way Color Correction filter suggestion - I haven't tried that but will.
