working with multiple codecs FCP
Im sure this has been asked but I have not found an answer. Say I was working on an HDV 1080i 24p project in final cut pro. Then I open a DV project up. It seems as if the canvas and the viewer are not sized properl for the DV project because its using and HDV preset . My question is when I open up a new project do I have to change the preset for the timeline. What is reccomened for this. It almost seems as if you pick a preset once you have to stick with it. I know this isnt true but I sure have a hard time with it. Any thoughts or help.
Thanks in advance. |

If you just open up FC, it opens with the last project/sequence settings it had. So if you want new settings, you have to change them. Once you name the project and save that file, use that to open up FC next time; then you will get the settings you last saved to
That will apply if you need to make a new project. It will open under the settings of the last one (say with an Easy Setup of NTSC DV) and if your new project is HD you will have to change the settings, then save a new project file Hope that answers your question |
