Linked Clips not Acting Linked in FCP
Hey all,
I think I hit some random hot key and changed a FCP setting and it's killing me. The problem is that linked clips - a video and a couple tracks of audio - are not acting as one. If I grab one and move it, it moves independently. If I slice with the razor it only slices the one track I actually touch. And if I stretch the edge of a clip to extend the time of a clip it only extends the one track that I am touching, not all of them. These are clips that I know are linked because they are underlined, and they are in a project that acted differently yesterday. Any help would be appreciated - because this is making editing very tough - thanks. |

I just had the same problem...and you will feel as stupid as I did when you click the little button at the top of the timeline that allows linked selections...right next to the little button that turns the snapping on and off.
But, we live and learn ;) |

Yup yup, I just figured it out... I did it by rehashing all the keys I might have incorrectly hit... in this case it was Shift-L instead of Option-L.
Thanks so much, that was a fast response... golly I love this site. :) |
