FCP Export NTSC to Pal
Hi,
I'm looking to export a PAL DVD off of an NTSC timeline in FCP. Is it possible now with a software render? I'm out of the loop - the last time I had to do this several years ago, I had to have a post-house convert it. Is it possible to do a software output now? |

Jason,
Compressor can be used to do format conversions, or also Nattress Standards Conversion, which can also be used to convert to 24p for film-like motion. You can try a free demo of standars conversion, so you can see whether it works better than compressor for you. I've never tried either so your mileage may vary. http://www.nattress.com/Products/sta...conversion.htm

I believe that compressor can do the conversion for you, but evidently it's pretty slow. There are a couple other software solutions. DVfilm Atlantis is a standalone program which will convert PAL to NTSC: http://www.dvfilm.com/atlantis/ and Nattress standards conversion is an FCP plug-in: http://www.nattress.com/Products/sta...conversion.htm
Both of these have free trial versions, so check them out. |
