what cable for Mac?
I'm trying to switch from PC NLE, to me Mac. I noticed my iMac does not have a DV input in the back like my PC does, What kind of cable do I need to trasnfer video from my XL2 to my iMac? DV/USB? DV/Firewire?

if I'm not mistaken, DV is actually firewire, its just a 4 pin connector. you should be able to find a 4 pin to 6pin firwire connector at any radioshack or the like.

Sure it does. Firewire comes in both 4-pin connectors (small, like on your camcorder), and big (6-pin, like what's on the iMac).
I don't know what your previous PC had, but for your iMac/XL-2 combo, you'd need a 6-pin to 4-pin Firewire cable.
