Latest Version of Safari ready for DL
Apple has the latest Beta version of Safari ready. You can download it here or use Software update in system Preferences to to install.

Looks like they've given you your tabbed browsing, Jeff. Well, at least in spirit. I've been trying this feature and it's been crashing the browser every time. More work appears needed.

I haven't had a chance to try it much, just got by bookmarks imported into Safari. I'll be trying it on and off now and see how it goes.

To anyone who has not yet upgraded, you might want to pass on this latest beta. My experience so far is that it's a bit crash-happy and far less stable than previous versions. It does look like it's headed in the right direction but not yet fully cooked.

It does crash occassionally on me, but what I notice is the speed. It is much slower than Camino (formerly Chimera). I don't recall the early beta's being this slower.

Actually, now that you mentioned it, it might be a step slower than the previous beta, too.
I had to turn tabbed browsing off; it produced guaranteed augers on at least two sites I regularly visit.
