FCE / Macbook Pro 17in 2nd monitor setup at DVinfo.net

Is it possible to connect a second monitor to the DVI port on a new MacBook Pro 17in and use it not as a second monitor for the Mac, but like an analog monitor.

Is this possible?

you mean to monitor video output? sort of...you can set it as cinema preview full..but it cannot display interlaced

If you want the functional equivalent of an analog video monitor off your DVI port you might want to check out the Matrox MXO as well.
