How to rip DVD content into Final Cut Pro

Hi, I'm ripping content off DVD using Mpeg Streamclip. I'm using the "export to DV" setting. The picture imports into FCP without any need for rendering (I'm using the DV25 sequence preset), however the audio needs to be rendered.

Why does the audio need rendering? Is there a sequence setting to avoid this?

Thanks!

DV streams are not a natively supported editing format in FCP, instead you should Export to Quicktime Movie and choose DV as the codec there
