Mac bk Pro 1080 monitor support
Does anyone know if a 2ghz intel duo core w/ 2gig ram and a ATI Radeon x1600 128mb vid card can support a 1920x1200 lcd editing and playing back 1080 24f HDV footage FCP? The Vid card sounds pretty weak to me and i'm guessing i'll probably need to buy a new one huh? Will the playback quality suffer with this card? Will it lag at all? Will it support 720 playback ok? My brother is giving me his and i'm trying to figure out what an effective FCP setup is going to cost me. Any recomendations?

I've edited a bunch of DVCPro HD based footage all flavors on a MacBookPro with those specs with no issues. I previewed with an ACD 23" connected to the DVI port of that same card.
