the Matrox MXO is the only real contender at the present. its a great box that gives you HD/SD SDI output direct from the timeline, and/or critcal quality monitoring of HD on a 23" ACD or other qualified LCD panel.
the only alternative I know of at present (and one I've never heard of anyone actually using) is to get an ExpressCard/34 based expansion chassis from Magma, and putting an HD I/O card in there (eg Kona or Decklink) |
