exporting 24fps in FCP
i've been fooling around with the exporting settings in FCP(5.1) and i realised that it's possible to change the fps on your project when you export, so i made my 29.fps clip into a 24fps clip and its perfect...for playback on the computer. unfortunatly once i burn the 24fps clip to a dvd and watch it on a television, it plays back terribly glitchy.
do you guys know of another way i can make my project a 24fps(or anything less than 30fps) without having this problem? perhaps a 3rd party program?...possibly a free program? hahah |

What are you trying to do? The way you did things you removed frames rather unevenly and yes, skipping will occur.
If you are going for the film look, then you need "intelligent" options...software designed to convert 30fps into 24fps or at least give the 24P look. www.nattress.com www.redgiantsoftware.com MAGIC BULLET SUITE (FULL suite needed) www.dvfilm.com Nattress is the cheapest, and does a great job, but others are good too. Giving you options. |
