Distinct dark lines across HDV footage?
I just started noticing distinct, thin, dark horizontal lines that bleed off of shadows and things on my HDV footage. I never saw this before and I wonder if it was always like this or if it just now started happening. Could someone check their own HDV clip from FCP (in QT or Motion) and tell me if you can see this aswell. The problem is it is impossible to color key or even do a line drawing type of effect! Any suggestions or experience with this? See if you have footage with sharp dark shadows against light.
I'll upload a pic if you guys can't see it on yours. Thanks |

Can you post an example? Was the camera moving or were the subjects moving? If so your description sounds a little like interlace artifacts.

No, that's not normal.... I see that you've cross posted this to another thread. Please don't do that, it's against DVinfo policy. I'll merge both threads together here. Thanks.

Where does the thread belong is it a camera glitch or FCP?

So, no one has ever seen this before? De-interlace filter and field order effects don't help.
