A "control surface" for multi-cam editing, anyone?
After a very long bout with a four camera concert, I found myself wishing for a mini switcher controller for Final Cut. Switching with the keyboard is awkward after a few hours and the relative ease of a traditional switcher would be a luxury.
I haven't been able to find one, is there any on the market?

I've been quite happy with the Shuttle Pro for the past few years, although the button layout doesn't resemble a traditional switcher:
http://www.contourdesign.com/shuttlepro/ They also make an express version that actually has bigger buttons: http://www.contourdesign.com/shuttle...ttlexpress.htm But if what you're really longing for is old-school, tough-as-nails buttons, look no further than X-keys. http://www.xkeys.com/ I saw the X-keys last year at NAB, and I was quite impressed by the quality and feel of the buttons. If I didn't already own a Shuttle Pro, I might consider the X-keys jog & shuttle controller. |
