how to remove embedded menu display?
I think I know the answer to this but I am praying I am wrong.
situation: Due to the failure of the XL1S audio I took my panasonic deck and mixer to record out to. worked great except... I had the menu on the camera up (the shutter, the record time etc...) I assumed it would not lay to tape just as it does not when you use the deck to record. It did. Now my entire shoot has that on it. Question: Is their some way of getting it off? Is it embedded can I strip it? So frustrated, any help is greatly appreciated. Mike Russell

It's forever part of the video...you can't remove it - you can try to blur it etc...

Maybe if it's 4:3 footage you could crop/mask off the indicators to 16:9?
