FCS Control Surface

What options are around for Final Cut Studio control surfaces?

I know Mackie have their MCU, which looks amazing - but it's really expensive.

Behringer have their B-CONTROL product. Has anyone used one? I think it's around AUD$400/USD$250. Couple of faders, couple of knobs, some encoders, screens, etc.

I think EDIROL/Roland also offer some kind of Control Surface.

I just want something, mainly for audio in FCP/Soundtrack Pro. I hate having to use the mouse to adjust the volume of tracks.

So...what does everyone here use?

Comments, suggestions, etc. wanted!

Thanks for your reply Shane!

However, that unit is a bit overkill for what I'm after. I basically just want a control surface - no need for preamps, etc.

For anyone who's interested, details on the Tascam FW-1082 can be found here: http://www.tascam.com/Products/fw1082.html

I second the Tascam FW-1082. I ended up with one kind of the other way around - I was looking for a FireWire mixer and ended up with the Tascam, which also gave me motorized faders and other controls, which I use mostly with Soundtrack Pro. To me, the 1082 is a great value for the money. If you anticipate a need for audio I/O (or midi) in the future, I highly recomment getting one!
