Hard drive recognition failure?
I’ve installed two additional Seagate 250g drives into a Mac pro tower, taking the storage to 750 total. Now after importing 15 hours of hdv footage I have exhausted drive #1 and went to the scratch disk settings and found that the other two drives are not recognized.
Does anyone know the procedure for getting the machine to “see” the new drives or should these drives be “plug and play”…? |

You have to go into disk utility and format for the mac. Just open up Disk Utility and select your new drives and go to the erase tab and give it a name and choose to format Mac OS extended with journaling OFF. then they should show up fine in FCP.
