PostScript Fonts in FCP
I need to do some work for a new client and their logotype is only available as a (Mac) PostScript font. I have no PostScript fonts loaded in my system and wnat to make sure PostScript fonts will work in FCP (and Motion & LiveType for that matter)
Like to get this answered before I shell out $300 for the font family. I noticed on the Apple forums some concerns about PS fonts only showing up as Italics. That's why I am asking. MP |

Quoting the FCP User Manual "If there are special fonts you want to install to use in Final Cut Pro, you need to install the TrueType version of those fonts because Final Cut Pro text generators use TrueType fonts. (Most professionally created fonts come in both PostScript and TrueType versions.) For information on installing fonts, see Mac Help." So it looks like only TrueType will work, but see if you can download any free PostScript fonts from the net for free to try it out.
