Mixed formats on time line - when?

Hi

Anyone know if Apple are planning to update FCP so that you can put mixed formats on the same time line without rendering?

Other Apps can do this so it must be possible.

Thanks

Trevor

If your mixing formats, one or more of the formats will have to be converted or 'rendered' to match the others.
Its all a matter of if the program can accomplish it in real time. FCP has come a long way in real time rendering and with the more powerful machines, I think you will see a lot of improvements in the future.
