Can FCP-5.1.2 import mp4 from sanyo HD cam
I'm wondering if footage from the Sanyo HD1 camera can be imported into my mac using FCP-5.1.2 without losing the HD quality.
I'm aware that FCP has the mpeg-4 codec as an export option but can't seem to find that codec as an import option. Doug

I'd guess you'd have to convert the video to something editable, like DVCPRO HD, and for the best results I'd have tried Compressors Advanced format conversion.
But that's just me... Gunleik

You could also try using MPEG Streamclip to do some conversions.
