XL-H1 and Panasonic HVX cameras matching up?

I am working on a documentary in South Texas with two H1's but a company out of Hawaii will be sending me some footage to insert in my doc. I want to shoot at 1080i/24F, The company in Hawaii will be using the HVX200, is it as simple as them recording at 1080i/24p so I can just drop into my FCP timeline and have no compatiblity issues?

This is more of a Final Cut question than an XL H1 question so I'm moving it to our FCP forum.

1080i/24f is a contradiction. 24f is a progressive mode. 1080i is interlaced.

Also the HVX shoots in 720p natively not 1080, so the footage will be upscaled.

TheHVX shoots DVCproHD, and the H1 is HDV mpeg2.

You will definitely have to render the footage or convert it beforehand.

Sorry to be a bummer.
