XL2 24P Advanced Capture problem
Hi. I couldn't find another post like mine, after searching, so here goes.
I'm not all that familiar with FCP, and am trying to capture some footage shot with the XL2 in 16:9, 24P mode, using the 2:3:3:2 pulldown. I have around 20 clips, and some of them capture just fine. The problem is that some clips give me an error message indicating that the 2:3:3:2 cadence is broken, and that the clip can't be captured because of this. There're no timecode breaks on the tape, and I can't figure out why it would do this. Any ideas? I'm capturing from a Sony DSR-11 deck hooked up to the Mac. FCP HD 4.5 . |

Restarting FCP always fixes this for me...

I'll try that. I think I thought of it last night, but didn't actually do it. It was only 4 clips that wouldn't capture.

So, yeah, that didn't help. The clips gave me the same message, even after rebooting the computer. This was using the batch capture command. For fun, I tried the capture clip option in the log/capture window, same thing. By the way, this always happens at the very end of the clip.
