Vertical 16:9?

I'm working on this project that is a moving commercial on a poster sized screen in a mall. They want the final output to 480x848. How do I adjust my screen size while editing? Is it basically a vertical version of widescreen? How do I rotate the widescreen bars 90 degrees without rotating the picture? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!
C.

How will the image be shown? Plasma screens turned through 90 degrees? Projectors turned on their side? If so you've got to hold the camera on it's side when you film. Did you do this?
