playback motion studdering

hello,

i never have problems with playback quality except when i am viewing
panning or crane shots. in those cases, it looks fine in the viewer, but
not in the canvas: in the canvas there's a lot of ghosting of the images.

my sequence settings are correct, as far as i can tell (23.98/16:9/progressive),
but as the footage looks fine in the viewer and on the camera's monitor,
i know i must be making some kind of mistake.

any suggestions?

van

The symptoms sound like an interlacing issue but that would only show up when you play it on a progressive scan display. Hmmmmm

When you say the canvas, do you mean the canvas window viewed on a computer screen or an external monitor?
