Output to tape problem with 24p & Final Cut?
I shot a video in 16:9 24p 2:3:3:2 with my Canon XL2. Imported to Final Cut Pro on a Mac G5 dual, edited the video and output to a DVD. Everything worked great!
But I am now trying to output the video back to my XL2 so I can have a copy on mini-dv. When I go to "print to tape" the video and audio play correctly on my computer screen, but ONLY the audio records on my camera? No picture. And if I play directly from my timeline, same results with the exception that if I scrub in the timeline, then the motion plays in the camera but obviously that won't work... Never had this problem with 60i or 30p. Very confused:( |

FWIW, I am experiencing the exact same behavior on my GY-HD100U.

re:24p problem
Well, at least I am not the only one:) I really can't figure it out and I hope someone has an answer or two...Just seems weird that it only does this with 24p and the other formats are okay. Strange?
