Exporting from FCE to other editing software
Hey,
I have been filming a skate video for sometime now and one my riders wants to borrow some footage for his 'sponsor me' reel. He is editing on Vegas and I on Final Cut express, does anyone know the best way for me to get him his footage so he can edit it his way? Thanks |

Find out what codec he'll be using in Vegas and export using that codec.

You could also print the footage he wants to tape and then let him capture and edit in vegas.

thanks for the replies!
Nate, I'd do that it is just that i shoot HDV but usually on projects like these, import on DV. The thing is, that the quality usually stays ok if I burn it to disc, but if I export it back to the camera in DV mode, it seems to lose that quality one more time and looks alot cheaper. I guess I'll burn it to disc and get that Mpeg Streamclip (that Mr. Perry once advised me about and for which I am very grateful) to work for him so he can import the material, but I'll try to get that codec and make life easier on him first. |
