16:9 Export
I shot in 16:9 mode and am editing in FCP 4.5.
How can I export as 16:9? Meaning, so that it's no longer anamorphic. So when I make a quicktime movie it is the right dimensions and when I make a tape it has black on the top and bottom and not stretched. Thanks. Last edited by Michael Dominic; April 18th, 2006 at 02:06 PM. |

Simple. Capture your footage as anamorphic 16:9, then create a new 4:3 sequence (go to the sequence settings and un-check the anamorphic box). Now drop the anamorphic 16:9 clip into the 4:3 sequence. This will automatically letterbox. A render will be required however.
