FCE one settings (PAL)

hi
I was using a Canon XL1s and capturing with the easy setup, i bought a JCV101e and want to capture in "16/9", what are the settings for final cut express one for this.
The xl1s has a stereo mic, the JVC has a mono mic, should two tracks show up on the timeline with the JVC or one, I had two show up on the Canon XL1s, bit confused and advice /help would be appreciated.

john.

I use FCP, not FCE, but think they are similar. You should have an Easy Setup for Anamorphic PAL which will do what you want. But really, the only thing which is going to be different is that the anamorphic box will be checked in the capture/clip/sequence settings.

Caveat: I'm not really sure what a JVC101e is. Assuming it's a standard definition PAL widescreen camera? Or is it the JVC HDV camera? If so then you would need to use the 50i HDV easy setup, but there are some gotcha's there, especially since it sounds like you're running older software...

You should see two tracks as normal, depending on how you set up your camera one might not have any audio in it at all.
