I've been wondering the same myself. I haven't seen any reviews or benchmarks or even posts of people who have tried it yet.

Hello,
Well i have a 2 ghz Intel Imac with 2 gig of ram.. and i am a Mac newbie and do not have much to compare it to.. I only installed the Universal software a day or so ago.. and of course I got very busy (Murphys Law) right when i got the software.. I can tell you that i did capture about 50 minutes of HDV from my FX1, and was able to play it back and manipulate it easily on the timeline.. without any problem.. played back smooth in realtime.. then there is this discussion and comparison here.. http://forums.creativecow.net/cgi-bi...&postid=887896 mike m. |
