Red Giant, FCP 5, and HD100
I have been looking for threads on Red Giant software Magic Bullet Editors v2 in Final Cut used on HDV material from the HD100. I would like to see some stills since it would be a higher quality than the normal DV screen shots they have on the site (http://www.redgiantsoftware.com/lookguide.html).
I ordered the MB Editors today and they should be in Tuesday or Wednesday. I guess I can perform this test when JVC gets me back my camera body. |

James,
I can't comment on HDV footage from the HD100, but I have edited tons of footage shot with the Sony Z1 in HDV 1080i mode. It works real nice, but it does take a long time to render. I have had several people comment on my stuff saying that they thought it was film. Dan Weber |

DFT's 55mm plugin has a real nice glow effect that renders faster than MBE's effects.

Thanks, Dan. I'm hoping to get my short film to look as if I shot it on film.
Phil, what is DFT? |
