Audio Pops

Whenever I cut up ANY audio file in FCP including mp3s converted to wavs, video audio etc. THERE IS ALWAYS A SLIGHT POP! EVERY CUT, THERE IS A NOTICEABLE POP/CLICK SOUND!!!! What's the issue? How do I fix this? Someone please help me here!!! Is there some setting? Any audio when cut makes this popping/clicking sound! It makes the clicking sound with the cut there and no division, meaning to say, there is no gap in audio... WHAT's THE ISSUE? Someone please please please please please please help!

Maybe you've converted to 44.1Khz, but are editing in a 48Khz timeline? Does the problem go away if you apply a 1 frame cross-fade?
