OMF import in FCP
Searching in vain to see how I import omf files back into FCP!!
Anyone? Thanks OMF import into FCP 4.5??? |

Hi Bill, and welcome to DVinfo. I changed the title of your thread so that people will know what your question is. Try to use descriptive thread titles if you want a faster response, titling them with your name doesn't give much of a hint! ;-)
I have never worked with OMF's so I can't help, other than suggesting that you look in the manual where there are a number of entries for OMF. None of them really make it clear whether these files can be imported however as most of the discussion relates to export. Does it work if you choose Import > EDL? Sorry, my ignorance is showing.... I don't really know what an OMF is! Hopefully someone else will be able to help though. |

FCP EXPORTS OMF...it cannot import OMF.

You can export an OMF to an audio program. Mix your audio, then output a stereo wave file back into FCP. I think that's the workflow you're supposed to use.
