FCP7 and Mac Air ... at DVinfo.net

Hi there,

In order to save a few pennies, I am thinking of buying a Macbook Air instead of a full-blown Pro.

As normal, I will be using an external hard drive as a scratch disk but will the Air run FCP7 as normal? I do not expect to be editing an extended version of ‘Avatar' on the Air, just simple cut-cut with the odd transition ... to save a grand, will the Air live up to my expectations?

FCP7 won't install on my MacBook Air 4,2 as the graphics card isn't supported. So you should certainly check that the MBA you are looking at can actually run FCP7.

FCP7 happily runs on all the recent MBPs.
