16:9
hi people
I shot something with XL2 in both 16:9 14:3 and I captured it All together without using the anamorphic, how can I fix my 16:9 footage i mean make it anamorphic for regular tv. thank u |

In the browser right clip on each 16:9 clip and select Item Properties-Format and put a check in the anamorphic column. If you leave the sequence settings anamorphic uncheck (4:3) then FCP will letterbox the clips for you, I think if you check the anamorphic box for the sequence it will add the black bars to the side of your 4:3 clips.

It's very simple, doesn't matter how you capture. Just look in the browser window. Scroll way across to your right until you see the Anamorphic column. Click next to each clip in that column to make a check mark appear. Now the clips will display in the correct anamorphic 16:9 format.
If you've already put the clips into sequences that gets a little more complicated to fix.... |
