Dual Monitors-Dual Video Cards??
Hi, I'm thinking of going with dual monitors, and I was wondering if it would work to add a second video card in my PCI slot eg
http://eshop.macsales.com/item/ATI%2...ies/100436011/ I don't want to split my VRAM because that would affect my Motion performance... any ideas?? I could alway pick up a Radeon x800xt :-)

i use dual card on several PC, not even because it gives me dual monitor, but also because most card have now dual output, so i can get as much as 4 monitors, or 3 with a video output (mirroring of one screen) for recording (powerpoint presentation) or previewing.
and yes getting 2x 128mb of ram on 2 video card is a lot better than 1x 128, especially if you use some apps with opengl rendering. in dual card, Nvidia is a good value, since you can find the same chipset (5200) in both connector (AGP +PCI), so you can use exactly the same driver. |
