Timeline not appearing in FCP PRO
hi all,
I am using FCP PRO (or version 4) to edit some TV programs. I am facing a problem whereby after i open the project file, and click on the sequence, the timeline wont appear. it does the "preparing video for display" thing but once its done, the timeline just do not appear. anyone know what might be wrong? cheers |

Unless something very strange is happening, this is a classic question.
In the browser, double click on any sequence. The timeline will appear! |

Try trashing FCP Preferences?
Or use a piece of freeware called "FCP Rescue" (here) to do it for you easily?

The only other thing that comes to mind (although unlikely) is that if you have your Mac setup for 2 monitors but have one turned off then windows can sometimes appear on the dark screen.
Have you tried visiting Apple's support forum here? http://discussions.info.apple.com/we...UvA.1@.ee6bcd7 |
