FCE 4 Video out of sync with audio
Hey all, I have a problem. Just as the title says, my audio is out of sync with my video in both screens after I log and transfer. It works great in the log and transfer screen, but after it's added and I pull it to the timeline, it's completely wonky. And it gets worse as the video progresses.
I recorded with a Sony NX5U in 1080/24p FX to a Sandisk 32gb class 10 card. Wether I load the video from my card reader, or off my external HD, it's the same problem. I also noticed just now that when I'm trying to watch in the log and transfer window, that I click on a point in that screens timeline and it never goes down where I put it. I jumps forward on the timeline, but hits the point in the video correctly. That probably didn't make sense, but I'm not sure how to describe it :) I've had absolutely no problems when logging and transfering video from my old camera, a Sony HDR SR12. I'm sure I just have a setting wrong, but being as I'm very new to both the camera and FCE4, I'm not sure where to start. Thanks much for any help and info! EDIT One more thing I thought of.....I shot test footage with the settings straight out of the box and had zero problems with out of sync audio/video. Why would changing it to 1080/24p cause it to act up? Last edited by Ryan Sutherby; July 20th, 2012 at 08:26 AM. |

Re: FCE 4 Video out of sync with audio
So, I'm going to just start out with this question, and work from there. When I import shorter video's ( around 23 minutes for example) The timeline works great. I can set the in and out marks to import certain chunks and everything is hunky dory. But, when I import a video thats closer to an hour, I cannot get anything to work properly. If I click on the timeline, the little green marker ( sorry, don't know what else to call it) ends up farther down than I clicked, and it makes setting in and out points near impossible. When I do get them right, the audio/video is out of sync after I've transferred it.
Any help on this at all? |
