Advanced screen replacement
I'm editing an interview and there's a computer screen to the right of the background on which I will be placing a logo. The interview is all one static shot so there's no need for 4 point Motion tracking, however. A couple of times part of the computer screen in the shot is momentarily obscured by the subjects arm or the corner of his chair. The screen replacement jpeg will be layered over the original footage, and when the subject obscures the screen, the screen will obscure the subject.
Is there an easy way around this? |

Re: Advanced screen replacement
Unfortunately, no. If the screen is on and mostly a single color you can try to key the video of the monitor over the graphic so when the arm swings in front it will naturally masked the new graphic.

Re: Advanced screen replacement
Thanks William, I have not received the logo but most of it is white so that might just work, thankyou.
Other than that i'll have to learn how to rotoscope one of these days. |
