Log & Transfer messy fail on advance pull down
I'm running FCP 7.0.3 & got the same problem on two different machines.
I have material shot on P2 DVCPro HD 720 30p over 60p. (NOT "PN" Progressive Native, so each frame is duplicated.) Footage was spanned over three cards. Clip is 1:49:07:02, when I use log & transfer with out "Remove Advanced Pulldown and Duplicate Frames" the clip comes into FCP all nice & pretty. When I use log & transfer with "Remove Advanced... " checked, the imported clip is a horrible horrible mess. Duration shrinks down to 1:38:12:10 & the audio goes out of sync with the video at a variable rate throughout the clip. Anyone else encounter this? I'm glad that it comes in fine w/o the pulldown, so I'm fine to edit & haven't lost anything. I swear that I've used the Advanced Pulldown in the past w/o any trouble, but can't remember when.
