Pasting text in Final Cut
I am currently working on a translation of some video series, and need to copy translated text from the script to Final Cut.
But as the translated text is in Croatian languague and thus have these characters (ć,č,đ,ž,š), when I paste it to Final Cut text it shows some weird symbols. So I need to correct each letter. It actually also happens with the "" symbols. Final cut interprets them like Ò symbol. However when I just type those letters everything is ok. How can i fix this? Thanks for help |

Re: Pasting text in Final Cut
Have you tried opening the character viewer on your Mac and clicking on each letter that you need to use from that.
That is what I use when I need to type an Irish language letter. You can find it by clicking on your flag on the top right of the screen and a drop down menu will appear. Hope that helps! Mary. |

Re: Pasting text in Final Cut
The font you are using in FCP may not support those characters. Try a standard font like Myriad or Arial and see if it still happens.

Re: Pasting text in Final Cut
Patrik,
Go into your System Preferences and in the "Language and Text" option you'll see where you can manually specify languages that both the OS and your apps will recognize and better yet, also manually assign new characters with special key combinations. This will allow the functionality you're after - and Croatian is listed as one of the supported languages. |
