Pre edit trimming..?
I'm about to edit approximately 40GB of footage with a lot of long dead portions that I'd like to cut before I ProRes and load it into FCP. Any suggestion of what app to use for simple & quick trimming (that won't affect the quality, of course) -- I'm on Mac. Any help appreciated.

Re: Pre edit trimming..?
Download the Canon plugin for FCP and use FCP's log and transfer function to do this. L&T will allow you to mark out just the portions of each clip that you want to transcode & import into FCP.
