FCP3 upgrade compatibility
Hello,
I am about to order an FCP3 upgrade from the US, as it is considerably cheaper than in Australia. I know about the imminent FCPX release, but sometimes might have to edit different projects in ProRes and XDCAM422 simultaneously. Also, I am used to FCP Studio, and I am just converting to a tapeless recording process, also with nanoFlash. While I can always get FCPX later on (for more convenience), I will probably make faster progress editing with the old system at first. My question: does anyone know of any compatibility issues when using an upgrade purchased in the US with an FCP Studio code bought from Australian retail? I sometimes read about problems, but they may be caused by non-upgradable Academic versions of the software. Thanks for any response. Gerd |
