itwin - new way of editing?
Has anyone checked out this new USB storage device: USB Drive Reinvented | Unlimited Storage | Secure USB | Remote File Access
Its basically a way to connect 2 computers via internet and have remote access to the files on wither machine. I guess like cloud storage without paying the fees. It just seems like it would be good for editing purposes if lets say a friend of mine has some files he needs me to edit. He has one end of the itwin and i have the other. Since I have an FCP and he shoots all the footage then I could edit what he shoots. |

Re: itwin - new way of editing?
Doesn't really effect editing at all, as it's basically the same as having a VPN or setting your editing computer up as an FTP server.
Useful because of it's simplicity, and in built security, but not still only goes as fast as your internet connection at either end which isn't fast enough for editing purposes.
