Audio out of sync using nested sequence. XDCAM35 1080p24

I am editing my first 24p video over 5 minutes long. Playing the exported quicktime file from a nested sequence, the audio drifts out of sync after 8 or so minutes . There is no drift if I export from the original sequence.

Thinking the timeline settings were off, I duplicated the original sequence, cleared out the new copy and then inserted the original sequence. The problem persists.

I am using XDCAM 35 footage shot at 1080p24 with some small amounts of prores here and there. The sequence is frame rate 23.98.

Anyone else seeing this? ANy ideas for a work around?
