Easy Motion Tab Question

OK, I did a quick Google search, and I guess I'm not wording my search just right, so Its giving me close to an answer, but not exactly. Figured I would post here, as I'm sure this is easy, I'm just not seeing it.

I am using a simple logo. I trying to make it look like it is flying out (using a combination of changing scale and motion blur). Key frame where it is to start, and where its to stop (increasing the scale slider at end). The motion is kind of ramping (slows down and eases into end) and I want to change that to a constant motion (I want it to slam into place). I was originally going to try and do this with AE, using their 3D camera function. But seeing as I've haven't learned after effects yet, It might take me a bit to figure out the program, and this is a 3 second clip, that I might be able to get close inside FC motion tab.

So could someone point me in the right direction as to where I can find the ramping on/off selection?

Thanks as always,
Jeff

Re: Easy Motion Tab Question

There are two things that might be going on in that clip. First, you have the option of making a "smoothing" to the motion you set, which is indicated by a blue dot and the corresponding line (see screenshot). Also, you might have a look at the "speed" parameter and see if you've inadvertently changed anything there.

Normally when you select a scale, speed or other Motion tab change that action should be completely linear however I have seen at times where there is a built-in "ramping" at the beginning and end of a clip. I can't remember if there any other deeper preferences in FCP that makes that an automated option or not.
