Need Help- running into a "rate mismatch" when relinking files from a project
I've been using a workflow which keeps a copy of the all the footage from each wedding on a drive locally. I make a copy of it and send it to an editor. The editor then completes the edit and sends the project file back.
When I get the project file back and open it I'm greeted by the dialog box to re-connect the media, which is 100% normal. Just relink the clips and the project is put back together on my screen to review. Recently I've been running into an issue where another dialog box appears thats explaining there is a "File Attribute Mismatch": http://www.gmelliottvideo.com/photos/mismatchrate.jpg If I click "continue" it tells me "One or more files did not have enough media to reconnect some clips. Some edited clip items have had their out point adjusted." The results are and edit with the sync ALL out of whack! Nothing at all has changed with the footage. Just copied to another drive completely intact. Another odd thing I noticed- if I go ahead and let it re-link even though the "rates" are off and it warns me. When I go look at the clips in the file bin in the upper left I notice under the column "Data Rate" that the clips that won't sync say 0/mbs. These clips are there and play back fine. For some reason the project file is flagging them as "0/mbs" thus causing some sort of "rate/sync" issue. Anyone deal with an issue like this. Btw, I'm on FCP 7.0.3. I'm pulling my hair out here!!!! Thanks in advance! |
